Whatsup Doc Bookings Platform
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs access to and use of the Whatsup Doc platform, website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). It is designed to ensure lawful, ethical, secure, and medically appropriate use of the Platform by all users, including patients, healthcare providers, partners, and visitors.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including but not limited to:
- Patients and clients
- Healthcare practitioners
- Vendors and partners
- Administrators
- Any individual interacting with the Platform
3. Permitted Use
Users may use the Platform only for legitimate and lawful purposes, including:
- Booking telemedicine or healthcare services
- Communicating with healthcare providers
- Uploading accurate medical or identity information
- Making payments for services
- Accessing health-related services or information
4. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
4.1 Identity & Account Misuse
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Impersonate another individual or healthcare professional
- Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
- Share login credentials
4.2 Medical Misuse
- Attempt to obtain prescriptions unlawfully
- Submit false medical histories or symptoms
- Manipulate consultations for controlled substances
- Use the Platform for emergency medical care (unless explicitly stated)
4.3 Legal Violations
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
- Upload illegal or restricted content
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or professional standards
4.4 Platform Abuse
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse engineer systems
- Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data without permission
- Overload or interfere with system functionality
4.5 Payment Abuse
- Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods
- Initiate fraudulent chargebacks
- Circumvent platform payment systems
- Attempt to transact with providers outside the platform where prohibited
4.6 Harassment & Misconduct
Users may not:
- Harass or threaten staff or providers
- Use abusive or offensive language
- Discriminate against others
- Submit inappropriate content or images
5. Healthcare Provider Obligations
Providers using the Platform must:
- Maintain valid professional South African medical registration
- Practice within scope of license
- Comply with ethical and regulatory standards
- Provide accurate credentials
- Protect patient confidentiality
- Not prescribe medications unlawfully or irresponsibly
6. Data Integrity & Security
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Protect their login credentials
- Notify Whatsup Doc immediately of suspected unauthorized access
7. Monitoring & Enforcement
Whatsup Doc reserves the right to:
- Monitor platform usage
- Investigate suspected violations
- Remove content or accounts
- Suspend or terminate access
- Withhold payments pending investigation
- Report violations to regulators or law enforcement
8. Reporting Violations
Suspected violations may be reported to:

- Description of incident

9. Consequences of Violation
Violations may result in one or more of the following:
- Warning notice
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Payment reversal or withholding

- Reporting to authorities or regulatory bodies
10. Amendments
Whatsup Doc may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any revised version.
11. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
